Have you ever made a transcription error?
Are you one of those who work as a transcriptionist but not born as one of the an English natives? Well, we may have the totally same experience in this field. I Would like to share to you my experience as one and how my mistakes made me laugh. I have made a compilation of my transcription mistakes and some of them I have gathered from other sources. This may be funny but as the same time a learning experience.
What is a transcription error?
Electronic transcription occurs when the results of a scan of printed matter is compromised or in an unusual font
Another term, I called as "hearing error" where in one types the wrong term due to hearing it wrongly. For nonnative English speakers, hearing may be vague for some transcribers. as there are different types of dictators out there.
There is also called a medical error in which one inputs the wrong medical term for the heard word.
Transcription errors and bloopers are very common. These errors are committed almost every day at almost every center but there are few blunders, which can make you laugh and few grave errors that can make an utter confusion.
These errors are of great importance because such errors can lead to bitter results confusion and dangerous consequences.
There are also some blunders or errors which one can just laugh about.
