Funny 50th Birthday Poem
Funny 50th Birthday Poem

Hi - When you're searching for a funny 50th birthday poem, it can be very hard to find exactly the right words to fit the person whose 50th birthday it actually is. You want to make it funny, special, uplifting - right? That's where I can help. Hello, my name is Allen Jesson and I write funny gift poetry for every occasion, including funny 50th birthday poems. This is one of the more funny and inspirational fiftieth birthday ideas, so if "past it" and "over the hill" springs to mind, then you're in the right place. After 50 years on the planet, there's a lot to write about. Everyone has their foibles, their character traits, their annoying little habits. Now, all of these (and much more) can be built into each funny 50th birthday poem. Now, of course, as every poem is uniquely written, so every funny 50th birthday poem is different, obviously including all the funny, personal and embarrassing moments that you wish to use. To be honest, although the poems can be 'roast', I always include a 'toast', rounding off the poem with some heartfelt sentiments (because the birthday boy or girl is obviously important to you or else you wouldn't be looking for a funny 50th birthday poem to mark this important milestone, would you?). Anyway, enough of the preamble, here is an excellent example of what can be achieved:
Q1: What is your Name?
A1: Shelli Rosenthal
Q2: What is your Email Address?
A2: (withheld)
Q3: Who do you want the poem written for ?
A3: My sister
Q4: Why do you want the poem written ?
A4: To express my feelings and admiration for her and her accomplishments, to express my love and gratefulness for our incredible relationship, to celebrate the occassion of her 50th birthday
Q5: What are the key messages you would like the poem to send ?
A5: See number 4.
Q6: Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share ?
A6: happy moments in childhood- when I would come out of the dining room closet and pretend I was Shelli the Walking Doll. I still don't know if she thought I was real? I still haven't forgiven her for cutting my favorite Toni doll's beautiful blond hair. This is a young memory. My present to her on her birthday will be a final forgivness for what she did. ( please take this lightly)Memorable moments throught out the years have been many. She has always been there for me to guide me through my rough times with her patience and positive attitude and to celebrate my good times.Happy times- I made her an Aunt when she was young. She married later in life and finally gave memy most special loving neice, Alex. I thank her for adding her husband Bob to our family. He is an especially caring brother-in- law.
Q7: Do you have any other comments or thoughts ?
A7: Cindi, my sister, is a multi- talented person. She does a tremendous amount of charitable work and has helped to raise millions of dollars in her lifetime. She can out do Martha Stewart in a table decorating contest.
Q8: What style of poem would you prefer ? (Happy, sad, romantic etc.)
A8: happy
Q9: Which charity would you like your donation made to ?
A9: National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI)
Q10: Choose either the economy, standard, unique, deluxe or combo package.
A10: standard
Forgive and Forget - It's Your Birthday !
Hello, my little sister,
these words are just for you,
because you are just so wonderful,
and I'm so proud of what you do.
And days, weeks, months happen,
the years, they go so fast,
and words that could get said,
don't, and if they do they never last.
So I'm going to change all that,
and change it right here and right now.
I hope the correct words come along,
but I'll give it one good try, anyhow.
I have so many wonderful memories,
of us growing up happily together,
the days would last an eternity,
and summers would last forever.
I thought I was a pretty good actress,
at least, that's the way you made me feel,
I would pretend to be "Shelli The Walking Doll"
Tell me now "Did you think that I was for real?"
But there is a shadow on our past;
my favourite Toni doll's beautiful blond hair :(
How could you be so callous ?
How could you ? You didn't even care.
And I've never, ever forgiven you,
it was such a mean and horrible feat,
but today I grant you "forgiveness",
let's call it your birthday treat !
Because you always give me confidence,
that the future is brighter than today,
you know just when to sit and listen,
and then you know just what to say.
And we've had so many happy times,
and I'm grateful for our past,
and I'm looking forward to our futures,
and how long they will last.
Because you are such a special person,
your charity work is an example to us all,
and when I stand next to you,
I feel as if I'm ten foot tall.
Your gift for entertaining is legendary,
it's what legends are all about,
you bring the whole family together,
Martha Stewart had better watch out!
You're such a special sister,
I feel that I've been truly blessed,
I love you so very, very much,
because as a person you're one of the best.
So know that I've finally forgiven you,
(and that's a pretty good place to start),
and please accept my birthday gift of love,
some forgiving words from the heart !

This was the second draft. Shelli replied to the first one:
"You do some really wonderful work. I am very pleased but I would like to put
a little more emphasis on what a special sister/person she is. How about a paragraph saying something about her bringing the family together with her special talents for entertaining-please include a line about Martha Stewart having to watch out. I also would also like a paragraph expressing how lucky I am to have her for a sister and how much I love her. Please make this of utmost importance. Also can we change the title to something that includes the fact that it is
her birthday-such as Forgiveness on your birthday-my special sister.
Thank-you, Shelli
PS I would lie the single rose and. No autograph please. Laos, I don't mind
if you publish it on the web site."
Your thoughts and feelings, poetically wrapped in every verse.
"Mr. Jesson,
Thank you so much for the poem. I received it yesterday and Rob and I both loved it. It was packaged so nicely and attractive. Rob loved the poem. He said it was the most original and most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done for him. He loved it. Thank you so much!! Thanks again, Hannah Frampton."
