Another Use for Bird Photos

Birds do funny things. Or at least they do things that look funny. They also do some truly amazing things, such as build nests, migrate, and lay eggs. Here are photos that catch them in odd moments, doing odd things, with odd interpretations.

All of the photos in this article were taken by Steve Kaye.

I asked, Do you know the way to Miami?

I asked, Did you check a map?

I asked, Did you get directions?

And did you do these things?

NO!

So where are we? We're not in Miami. We're not even in Florida. We're lost somewhere in California!

About These Photos

I've taken over 100,000 photos of birds over the past year and a half.

These photos generally end up in one of five places.

1) I use the best photos for my talk on Local Birds.

2) I use photos that illustrate a leaning point in my class on Nature Photography.

3) I use the odd photos in articles like this one.

4) I keep some bad photos to document that I've seen a bird.

5) And then I toss out the rest, which amounts to about 97% the total.
