Excellent lens! I love dogs in a big way as well - my wife and I have had up to four (we're now down to two), plus we've fostered rescue dogs, and we've been involved in dog training professionally (not so much now but year's ago).
I love border collies (we have one ourselves). I'm sure you must have seen the funny video of Whiplash the monkey riding rodeo-style on the sheep-herding border collie? Pretty funny!
