Fun Wall Decor for Any Decorating Style

Everyone has seen them, and many people use them for special occassions. What are they? Gift bags. Gift bags come in a myriad of colors and designs, even zebra, leopard and other animal prints. Some are vinyl or vinyl coated and are quite durable. You can find great designs at your local supermarket, card shop, department store or online. Be creative and add some contents such as branches, bamboo or dried flowers. You could use rustic brown or dark green bags and add ends from old fishing poles with lures for a fishing theme, a great addition to our bathroom accessories "Rather Be Fishing". If you have a rustic cabin theme, you could put some pheasant feathers into a chocolate brown bag or rusty orange bag along with some dried pods and grasses. For glitzy decor, hot glue fluffy feathers around the top of the bag, the bolder the better such as a black bag with lime green ostrich feathers or a hot pink bag with black ostrich feathers. For a coastal theme add some cattails or beach grass to a light blue bag or sandy beige bag, hot glue some sand dollars or shells to the front of the bag. Group the bags on the wall by fastening them with push pins from the inside. You can use all the same color or combine different colors that you are using in your decor.

For a more functional use, you can place the bags on wall shelves to hold anything you like. This is a great idea for any space that lacks storage such as a bathroom where you might want to store extra bottles of soap or shampoo out of sight. Match the bags to your decor and use all the same color for an uncluttered look in organizing your shelves.
