Tired of the same old activities? Ready for some new ideas to share with your children? If so you have come to the right place.

I love spending time with my children and I want to share some of the great things we do. They are only this little once and you have got to make the most of it.

Fun for all ages!

My daughters are 3 and 6, here are some of the fun things we love to do together:

~making cupcakes

~taking nature walks

~planting flowers or seeds

~get kids to help with cleaning by turning it into a treasure hunt

~drawing on the sidewalk or porch with chalk

~reading and/or making up our own stories

~making jewelry

~taking old junk and making it into something creative

~playing board games

~taking pictures of each other and then using them to make scrapbooks

~all kinds of cooking (check out bettycrocker.com)

There are so many more things to have a good time with your children. You can always make somthing more fun or different... use your imagination!

Make a craft box

Get a shoebox or small box and fill it with some of these items for anytime crafting:

-glue
-scissors
-glitter
-beads
-playdoh
-old magazines
-sticks & leaves
-old nicknacks
-pictures & negative strips
-scrap paper
-ribbon or yarn
-baby food or candle jars
-fabric
-glue gun

Outdoor Activities

Kids love being outside and most of all, with you.

Here are some fun ideas for outdoors:

-Playing sports (mix it up and change rules)

-Nature walks (teach your child about the outdoors)

-Roast marshmallows and hot dogs (see my backyard fire pit lens)

-Yoga (older children want to learn about what mommy is doing, it also calms them)

-Bug hunts (teach your child about the bugs outside)

-Gardening (my children love to garden with me)

-Fishing (another favortie)

-Camp in your backyard

-Cornhole or hillbilly golf (great games)

-Teach your kids some of the games you played outside as a child

-Sand play (we love building stuff in the sand box)

-Chalk (my kids always decorate my deck)

-Redecorate a lamp, table, etc with beads, rocks, etc

-Print out activities to do with kids

-Have rain races (not in muddy areas)!

-Paint on windows or door glass with glass paint

-Search the net for great indoor crafts

-Let your child make a scrapbook

-Read to your child

-Coloring

-Board Games (switch up the rules and make it different)

-Make your own board games (will have a lens soon about this)
