The dog is cute, moves, makes barking sounds, and hold particular appeal for kids who'd like to have a pet dog.... it might even appease younger kids whose parents aren't ready to add a real dog to the family.

I bought this toy because I found that real cats were always so relaxing for me to look at as they put their paws up to their mouth and licked their paws to clean their face. When I found out that this toy does do that, and also cleans its' whiskers, I just had to have it.
