How to Fursuit -- The Ultimate Guide

Fursuits are both easily the most misunderstood parts of furry fandom, as well as the most visible. (Think there's a connection?)

In spite of this, Fursuits have increased in both number and quality over the years, as older masters hone their craft and new ones join them!

They're also hideously expensive, which is no small shock given that you're typically purchasing a custom costume and sculpture all in one! As a result, many furry fans trend towards partial suits -- which consist of a head, tail and paws -- as a way to avoid ordering a full outfit (and the cost it entails!)

They're not saving that much, though... the head is often the most expensive part of a suit, which you're ordering either way you go about it. And if you consider you're paying for the look as much as you are the materials and labor, using your own body when a suit is designed for thicker, "cartoonier" proportions... well, some folks can pull it off, but on the rest of us, it just looks weird.
