A contemporary style of bellydance

Fusion bellydance is just what is says: a mix of different dance styles mixed with bellydance or oriental dance. It can be a blend of bollywood, techno and cabaret style or any other style going from hip-hop to even tango and salsa.

The fusion bellydancer is free to compose the outfit according to whatever comes up in mind.

Various kinds of costumes and music make it difficult to define. Fusion bellydance can be ethnic inspired as in:

Some dancers use even heavy rock music - the so called gothic fusion style.

What Rachel Brice of the Indigo and the Bellydance Superstars does is more fusion bellydance than tribal style or ATS.
