Futurama definitely. The Simpsons is also good but the new seasons are just sucking lately. Most of the time the jokes aren't that funny anymore and the story's just going nowhere and even pointless sometimes.
Futurama on the other hand has a very unique plot that the viewers won't think it's a typical family cartoon sitcom like American Dad, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, The Goode Family, King of the Hill, etc... The sci-fi theme of the series also helps the writers show and extend their creativity plus the jokes are intelligently written.
For my biased opinion, I like Futurama than The Simpsons because it is not that overrated. Overall, it is more superior than The Simpsons even though it has a smaller fanbase and popularity.

Simpsons are a cult classic, but 20 years from now Futurama will be one too, in my opinion it is already. Whereas the Simpsons are extremely funny, relatable and all, Futurama is one sitcom that will make you cry, laugh to tears, and just say wow at the end of the show ( example when fry, professor and bender use the time machine to go to the end of the universe).

Futurama is funnier, better animated and better written. Most importantly, it has a storyline rching from the beginning up to now (Fry-Leela love story). It is also much more inventive and creative as the setting gives the writers so much more room to play around in.

I like most of Futurama's characters, especially Fry and Bender. Gotta love all the sci-fi references like dark matter too. And the messed up and twisted vision of the future :)

Simpsons all the way. Simpsons have always made me laugh rerun after rerun. The new episodes are awesome too but I never get tired of the classics. Futurama just doesn't bring me that joy that the Simpsons do.

The Simpsons will always have a special place in my heart because I used to watch it so much as a child with my parents. I was so happy they were actually watching a cartoon with me and enjoying it!
However, now that I'm older I have noticed that the quality has declined a bit since season 9. Both shows have a lot of heart and great characters but the Simpsons' quality is just not as consistent anymore. Its become a bit too zany and some plots are too random. It's as if since 1999 futurama's craziness and family guy's randomness have negatively influenced the Simpsons. Futurama is more consistent in terms of quality than the Simpsons is now and I greatly admire the show's originality, creativity and unique humour. In the end though I'll choose the Simpsons because at its peak, I think it's funnier... and my childhood nostalgia probably has a little to do with my decision too.

simpson is better than futurama just because of sheer comedy qoutient. the jokes are so well written and comes out every 5 seconds each one wittier than another.
homer is the best character ever in the history of sitcoms. futurama is a good show and has its moments but sometimes it becomes more of an emotional satire.

Futurama is a sci-fi sitcom which follows the adventures of a simple 20th-century pizza delivery guy, Philip J. Fry, who after being cryogenically frozen for a thousand years wakes up in a retrofuturistic 31st century.The show satirically depicts the everyday life in the future and uses both silly slapstick humor and less obvious nerdy jokes, such as Professor Farnsworth complaining that judges of a quantum finish "changed the outcome by measuring it".
Futurama was originally aired from 1999 to 2003 on Fox and has won 3 Primetime Emmy awards and 5 Annie awards.
About Simpsons
The Simpsons is a satirical cartoon by Matt Groening that parodies the everyday life of a middle-class American family.The Simpsons family consists of Homer (a buffoon who loves watching TV and drinking beer on his couch), Marge (a stereotypical housewife), Bart (a 10 year old troublemaker), Lisa (a precocious 8 year old) and Maggie, a baby who doesn't speak and is constantly sucking on a pacifier. The cartoon takes place in a fictional town of Springfield and also has a lot of secondary characters.
The show has been running since 1989 and won a big number of awards including 25 Primetime Emmy awards, 26 Annie awards and a Peabody award. It is the longest-running animated program produced in US.

- The Simpsons is great but Futurama takes those qualities and adds extra smarts and sci fi imagination and buzz. It also has the best cartoon eye candy.
