Fuzzy Dice...Why?

What's the point of fuzzy dice?

My meticulous research into the origins of furry dice has reached the conclusion that if anyone knows definitively where, how or why fluffy dice originated, they're keeping it a closely guarded secret!

The same goes for their purpose. What are they for? What do they mean?

I live in England and can't comment on the USA (I hope someone else will), but fluffy dice were popular in the UK in the 1970's, gracing many a Ford Capri and Mark IV Cortina.

Despite being universally derided, furry dice have never really gone out of fashion in the UK and can still be found in abundance in every car accessories shop the length and breadth of the land.

Like Marmite and Twiglets (two British "delicacies" which polarise opinion), you either love furry dice or you hate them...

However, despite the fact that no-one knows where furry dice came from or what they're for, I doubt they'll ever go away...perhaps they're alien life forms observing humanity whilst dangling above your dashboard...you have been warned...
