Should All the Aquarium Items be Cash Only?
Please -- give a reason when you sound off! Full sentences are even better!
Okay, so we know you can get some of the cheaper items and fish through the daily chance... but seriously, three bucks for an octopus?!

Hey, there's nothing /making/ you do it. They don't /expect/ you to. If you want the feature, you can pay or go to the marketplace. They're offering the site for free, and it's a forum. A forum, right? So don't get so caught up in a minigame. Just take a deep breath and enjoy the site. If you can't afford it, don't get it. And this is coming from someone who never ordered a single collectible, paid for anything, etc. etc. Not someone who can pay and is just being arrogant.

The daily chance is not enough! I want to play for free!
Erika says:
I don't agree with that. It's like a game, and the games should be made free. Things like new clothes and such, should be able to cost cash. Promotional items, should cost cash. Games that you play everyday, should just be made for gold. I, for one can't afford to buy gaia cash every time I want a new fishie, so my tank ends up being bare.

I think some Aquarium items should not always be cash....?
Posted November 14, 2009
Anonymous says:
Heck no! I'm not going out and wasting my money on gaia cash, I'm okay with having the gaia cash shop items, but if you are going to give everyone an aquarium, make sure everyone can use it. You can buy stuff in the marketplace, but most everything is maybe 8,000 to 24,000 some gold. =[

Lianne says:
Just what Rachelle says, Gaia's Fish should be like any other item. People all over the world wants to buy them (via Phing Phang) but they don't have what the store needs. There are fish sold over at the Marketplace, but it's just too expensive for the people who only has a budget of 10k-50k.
Gaia Cash Cards should spread all over the world. Not only in America, (or any other countries that sell Gaia Cash Cards) but also in countries that aren't much given attention. Let's say the Philippines. Many Gaians are from the Philippines.
We need cash cards!!

Buy Gaia Cash Through Amazon!
Need Gaia Cash? Get it here!
I've found a solution: Gaia Cash Cards are available for purchase through Amazon.com! Just buy the card through Amazon instead of going to an actual store to get them! (Isn't that awesome?)
Gaia Prepaid Game Card with Bonus Item - $25
Amazon Price: (as of 11/25/2009)![]()
Don't have a store that sells Gaia Cash cards nearby? Get the $25 Gaia Cash card through Amazon.com!
You'll not only receive 2500 Gaia Cash, you'll get a bonus item too!
Save Money, Buy a $10 Cash Card Instead!
Get Gaia Cash for even cheaper!
Gaia Cash Card - $10
Amazon Price: $10.00 (as of 11/25/2009)![]()
If $25 seems like too much to you, grab this $10 Gaia Cash card instead! There's no bonus item, but hey, cash!
5 Tips for Making a Cheap Aquarium
You don't need much money at all for these ideas!
- Play the Daily Chance! Sure, the odds suck, but I've recieved all three types of Daily Chance Fish (Goldfish, Arrowfish, and Cuttlefish), as well as backgrounds from the Daily Chance, and you can too!
- Scour the Marketplace! There's plenty of cheap backgrounds and items for the Aquarium in the Marketplace as people try to sell off their items, and lots of them are even under about 1,000 gold or so!
- Use (and abuse) the Overseer! The Overseer gives you items, and even if they're not worth much to you, they'll still fetch an extra 2-300 gold at minimum that you didn't have before!
- Play Daily! Lots of the aquarium's freebies are only once per day, which means you NEED to check back at least daily in order to improve your odds!
- RELAX! So you don't have the biggest and best aquarium. Who cares? It's a secondary function of Gaia Online, and you still have a good chance of getting great items anyway! Just take it easy and make sure you keep your fish happy with what you've got!
There's an Evolving Item in Aquariums?!
Yes! Finally, you can get an evolving item absolutely free!
Titan's Legacy is available only through the overseer. Be careful, though... once you equip it, you can't sell it!
What Will Titan's Legacy Turn Into?!
Just Imagine what it might become!

Did Your Fish Just Die?
Oh noes! The pets you've sunk money into are now starting to die off!
Well, there is an upside... go to the "Special" tab of your inventory (where old donation letter envelopes and such go), and you'll find wonderful "Fish Drops" to open that will give you nifty items that you can use elsewhere on Gaia Online!
A lot of folks are reporting getting many gold items (like the Gold Tiara and Gold Wristwatch) from their dead goldfish... Imagine what your fish might leave you!
Do you feel better paying for fish because of Fish Drops?
Well, when your fish die, you can get cool items now...
Fetching blurbs now... please stand bySure! I'd rather keep the fish, but this helps!
