Step One: The Proper Diet

If you want to gain muscle weight fast, then you need to really focus on your diet. It accounts for about 75% of the results you get (more if you are a hard gainer like me).

Here is the fundamental rule of any weight gaining diet: Consume more calories than you burn each day.

It really is as simple as that. I suggest you spend about a week simply counting your calories and figuring out the average amount of calories you take in each day. Once you have this number, add 400-500 more calories to it. If you do this, you WILL gain the weight.

The key is keeping this diet consistent. You cannot eat a lot one day and expect a lot of gains (if any).

Note: Drop all the junk food. These foods will allow you to gain a TON of weight...unfortunately it will be all fat rather than lean muscle.
