Galactus is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in Fantastic Four #48 (March 1966), the first part of a three-issue story later known as "The Galactus Trilogy", and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

"The physical, metamorphosed embodiment of a cosmos."

Galactus is the sole product of the union between the "Sentience of the Universe" and Galan, and has been described as "the physical, metamorphosed embodiment of a cosmos." As such, Galactus wields the Power Cosmic and was described as "the most awesome living entity in the cosmos".

Galactus can employ the Power Cosmic to produce nearly any effect he desires, including the molecular restructuring and transmutation of matter, the teleportation of objects - even the Golden Galaxy - across space and time, size-alteration, the projection of energy with indeterminable destructive force, the erection of nearly impenetrable force fields, the creation of interdimensional and intra-dimensional portals, telepathy, telekinesis, and cosmic awareness on a universal scale. Galactus has even shown the abilities to create sentient life in the form of Tyrant, resurrect his herald Morg, manipulate mortal souls, manipulate memories and emotions, and restore dead planets along with their population in every detail.

As a living force of nature, Galactus' true form - close to that of a humanoid star - cannot be perceived by most beings, and so each species perceives Galactus in a form they can comprehend. Galactus requires his armor to help regulate his internal energies. As Galactus must continuously feed to sustain himself, his power levels are inconsistent throughout any given period. For this reason, Earth's heroes have been able to achieve various degrees of success in repelling, or defeating, a starving, weakened Galactus.

As the oldest known living entity in the universe, Galactus employs science that the most brilliant minds on Earth cannot begin to grasp.

This Galactus Mighty Mugg stands at 6 inches tall. Wow! Look at the detail of this Mighty Mugg! Like the Human Torch, Galactus' head takes on a whole new shape as opposed to the rest of the collection. I am so glad Mighty Muggs is offering these different elements for the characters.  It makes it so much more special for collectors, don't you think? Galactus is a big deal for most major comic book fans and collectors, so I suspect Galactus will be sold out quite fast. Grab it when it arrives in November of 2008, as this one will HUGE with kids and collectors! I love the design!
