The I 40 is a nice camera although I have had to return it 3 times for problems. I have great pictures of deer, coyotes, turkeys, rabbits and squirls. I would like to see a camo coating applied like they currently use on gun stocks. I also think that a security passwork installed by the owner should be an option. This would make the camera useless for anyone not authorized by the owner of the camera. These two features should not effect the price enough to lose sales and would draw in people afraid of loosing the camera as it now is sold.

I am pleased with my results the IR Camera unit works well. good pix and video
Suggestion..make the default night video either adjustable or longer.. 5 secs is short
Do you sell custom camo sleeves for the camera? regards

Due to the amount of power lost with a longer cord, 10 feet is going to be the longest that a cord can be to effectively power the camera.

Does anyone sell an adaptor cord for the power panel? The 10 ft cord does not cut it. A 50 ft cord would be great.

The cameras will not operate for extended periods of time in below freezing temperatures. The batteries will be affected by the cold. As they will by extreme heat. This is just the nature of any battery operated device that is operating in the weather. If the temperature drops overnight to below freezing and then heats up during the day to freezing or above you should be alright. If you have extended days or weeks in below freezing temps. Then the cameras will not function according to specs.

Moultrie's scouting cameras operate on 9 volts. A car battery is 12 volts. Connecting a car battery to a Moultrie game camera will burn out the circuit board.

SD card is locked. Deleted images from internal memory with the camera in OFF mode, but I'm still unable to acess the setup mode in order to delete any images off of my SD card. My card shows 44 pics last taken 11/27/08.

The world of digital photography makes it easy for anyone to create beautiful and artistic photographs with basic photo editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Nero Ultra, Photo Elements and Paint Shop Pro. These applications allow both the novice and the pro to edit their photos.

I bought a Moutrie Cam to use wild life pictures for greeting cards. Is there a particular photo editing software that works better with these types of photos?

Hi! We just got a new Moultrie camera. It takes some really great pictures; however, every few pictures on the memory card just will not open. I have tried them on two different computers, two cameras, and a digital printer. They just will not show up. This is has happened multipe times on different memory cards. Does anyone know any tips that I can do to correct this problem? Or does everyone have pictures that just will not open? Thanks for your help!

Hi The flash will not work on my game camara..Help me please I am surrounded by trophie bucks but only at night.
    What should I do?
  • PRADCO Oct 10, 2008 @ 9:54 am | delete
The result of this action by the camera is that it is not writing to the SD card.

Solution: With the camera off take out your SD card. Once the card is out of the camera then power the camera on.

Once the camera is on and in set up mode scroll to "Delete Images" Once you have deleted the internal memory repeat the same process with the card in the camera. Note: Do not ever take the card out or put it in with the camera on. Also do not delete the images off the card in any other camera or device except your Moultrie Camera.

Once the images are deleted from both the internal memory and the SD card then the camera will write to the SD card and you will get more pictures.

If this solution does not work, please contact Moultrie customer service at (800) 653-3334

My Moultrie Spy Cam 4.0 would only take 8 pictures throughout a 24 hour period. I installed a 1GB sandisk SD card and the camera is still taking 8 pictures, according to my computer when I hook up the USB connector.
This is the second Moultrie Game Cam I have purchased and it has changed the way I hunt and is a valuble asset to myself and my children, I encouraged my brothers and friends to purchase a Moultrie Game Cam, in which most of them have.
Can someone please help me with this problem and explain to me why my camera will only take 8 pictures, or explain to me how to retrieve the remaining pictures that could possibly still be stored in my game cam, so as that my family and I could view them on our computer.

    Thank You in advance.

Make sure that the lock switch on the card itself is in the unlock position. If the switch is unlocked then get a can of compressed air and blow out the dirt and dust from the sd card slot. This should correct the problem. If not you will need to contact Moultrie customer service at (800) 653-3334
