Family Nurturing Circle - Game Activity
Ranked #19,836 in Education, #411,789 overall
The Joy of Play - Game Activity
The possibilities for this activity are endless. The primary goal is to involve everyone in the spirit of 'play', not so much competition, however, this would be a good time to address any values you have to share about competitive atributes with your children, (group, or classroom).
The Greatest Gift you can give your children and your family is TIME. Whatever activity you choose to share, you are creating memories and opportunities to share yourself and your love with each other. Share your values, show your family what is important to you. A game is simply a vehicle to creating a space in time that will be remembered for years to come.

Children Play - Let the Love for Playing Lead the Way
Gather The Family Together
Sit in a circle and let the youngest child sit in the center of the circle.
Begin the activity by letting each person share how they have played this game before, how much they like or dislike it, and what 'rules' about the game they might change if they could.
*Why not play by their new rules if they are realistic. For example: if they suggested that different counts or variables should be taken into consideration when the game is played... then, why not?
However, if someone suggests that the pieces should fly into the rainbow clouds and then come back as butterflies, perhaps you might write this down and inspire this particular soul to become a software developer for animated presentations, or perhaps, Steve Ballmer's "Natural User Interface technology" developer (Steve Ballmer CEO Microsoft Corp June 2008 AEA Convention).

Put on a Magic Show
Put on a family magic show. Let each member select the 'trick' they will do and take turns entertaining each other. Make each other laugh. Create a sense of mystery.
Enjoy.
This is a great activity for celebrations, birthdays, and other holidays. How about a magic show at the July 4th Picnic?
Enjoy.

Game Activity Guestbook
~GUESTBOOK~
Even Grown Children love to play with Mom & Dad. Recently my grown children came to visit and suggested board games. We played for hours. Not exactly sure I remember the actual 'game' we played.
What I do remember is the LAUGHTER! And THAT is a gift that I will remember always.
