Eddard Stark

Eddard, the head of the house is the Lord of Winterfall. He is nicknamed Ned. Ned is a close friend and ally of the King Baratheon and helped him win the battle against the former King, Aerys Targaryen (called the Mad King). Ned married Catelyn Stark, who was actually engaged to his brother Brandon Stark. But when Brandon was killed by the order of the Mad King, Eddard married Catelyn. Ned has 6 children, of which five are from Catelyn and one from his anonymous mistress. Baratheon liked Ned's sister Lyanna but due to her early death married Cersei Lannister.

Catelyn Stark

Wife of Eddard Stark, she comes from the House of Tully and is the eldest daughter of the Lord of Riverrun. Many people competed to marry her including Petyr Baelish, a mastermind of the Westeros kingdom.

Rob Stark

The 14-year-old Rob Stark is the heir to of Winterfall and is responsible enough to do take power

Jon Snow

Jon is the bastard son of Ned and is raised along with Ned's other 5 children. The truth about his mother will not be revealed soon.

Sansa Stark

Sansa is the daughter of Ned and Catelyn. Despite being just 11 years, she fantasizes about marrying Prince Joffrey.

Arya Stark

Arya is an easy-go-lucky girl of 9 years who constantly clashes with her sister Sansa. Both of them are opposites in everything.

Bran Stark

He is just 7 years old when the series begins and is seen as a playful boy climbing trees and playing with Summer, a beast known as a direwolf.

Rickon Stark

Rickon is 3-year-old and is the youngest of all children. There is nothing more significant about him.

Robert Baratheon

Robert I is the ruling King of Westeros, and sits on the prestigious Iron Throne, which the other Houses are fighting for. He is a close friend of Eddard Stark with whose help he overthrew the Mad King, King Aerys, killing the Mad King's son Rhaegar himself. He wanted to marry Eddard's sister but due to her death he decided to marry Cersei Lannister. The marriage was just a political plan to earn the favor of the Lannister House, as it was the richest and flourishing House of that time.

Joffrey Baratheon

Prince Joffrey is the official heir to the throne. Unlike Robb Stark of Winterfall, he is careless and spoiled by his mother, the Queen. Sansa Stark is crazy about him and dreams of marrying him.

Myrcella Baratheon

Myrcella is 8 years old and is the second child of King Robert.

Petyr Baelish

Lord Baelish does not share the royal bloodline, but is a trusted official of the Westeros kingdom. He is said to know about the confidential functioning of the House, more than the King himself. Nicknamed as the Little Finger, he spent his childhood days in Riverrun along with Catelyn. He loved her so much that he once fought for her love against Brandon Stark.

Tywin Lannister

Tywin is the head of Lannister House, the richest and the most powerful of all the Houses of Westeros. While Robert planned to marry Tywin's daughter to get the favor of the wealthy House, Tywin married her off to Robert inorder to expand his influence up to the Iron Throne itself.

Cersei Baratheon

Cercei is the daughter of Tywin who was married to King Robert. She has incest with her twin brother Jamie Lannister. She has 3 kids, Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen.

Viserys Targaryen

Viserys is rightly nicknamed "The Beggar King", owing to bankruptcy that prevailed after the defeat of his father Aerys, the Mad King by Robert and his ally. When Robert overthrew the Mad KIng, Viserys and his sister Daenerys were exiled to the Braavosian coast across the Narrow Sea. Grieved by the loss of kingdom and swept by the loneliness of the exile, Viserys became determined to win back the lost power and pride. For this cause, he married his sister to Khal Drogo, the horselord of Dothraki and got his support.

Daenyrs Targaryen

Daenyrs was too young when she was exiled, that she remembers nothing about her glorious past. The only way she learnt about their kingdom was through her brother's stories. She is young and beautiful. But in order to get back the kingdom, Viserys breaks the Targaryn practise of marrying within the same House and marries her off to the rugged, Kahl Drogo.

Kahl Drogo

Kahl is the horselord of the land across the Narrow Sea. In exchange for the Mad King's daughter, Daenyrs, he promised to lead his army against Westeros to win back the Iron Throne for Viserys and his sister, Daenyrs.

Ser Jorah Mormont

He was a knight of the Targaryens when they were in power. He was later exiled and lives across the Narrow sea. He is a well-wisher of Viserys and Daenyrs .
