Games Like Plants Vs Zombies

Hopefully since you found this page about games like Plants vs. Zombies, you've actually played it before? If not, then you should check it out. In Plants Vs. Zombies, you are protecting your home from the zombies approaching it.

You must plant different types of plants to defend yourself, such as pea shooters that shoot at the zombies. You only get to pick a certain amount of plants for each level and it requires a little strategy because before you begin a level you will be shown the types of zombies that will be in it. You then have to figure out the best plants to use that will get rid of those zombies.

Below you'll find some tower defense games (most of them are casual tower defense games) that share some similarities with Plants Vs Zombies. Many of the other casual ones have mazes that the "creeps" (another word for the bad guys in a tower defense game) walk down instead of going in straight lines across the screen like in Plants Vs Zombies.

Monster Mash is the latest casual tower defense game for the PC that I have been playing. The monsters walk through a maze to your village, and you must put towers on the grass to shoot at the monsters as they walk through the maze. If the monsters get to your village, then they will eat a villager. You only have so many villagers per level and you lose if the monsters eat all of them. Sometimes there are big monsters that are very hard to kill and those eat 2 villagers at a time.

You will encounter ground monsters and flying monsters with towers that will only affect one of those types. It gets a little challenging after the first few levels. There is a meter at the top that shows you the ratio of ground vs flying monsters that will be coming which helps. Even though it's not quite as good as Plants Vs Zombies, I am still having fun playing it.

Garden Defense is a casual tower defense game where you are defending your garden against insects. Most people seem to think this game is very fun, but a little short.
