Gamewright Games Rock!

Gamewright Games has been making some of the best games for kids since 1994. Gamewright was created by 4 parents that wanted to provide their kids with wonderful games. They currently have over 50 games and have won numerous awards. I became aware of Gamewright a few years ago and have since bought a few of their games every year for my family to enjoy. Their games are all very clever, funny, and extremely well priced. It is nice to see a company that goes out of their way to make high quality games. Sadly I feel like some other companies like Hasbro have been getting cheap with their line of games. They were just made better when I was younger. It is nice that a newer company is picking up the slack. My wife and our sons just can't say enough good things about their games. They can all be played fairly quickly and are all pretty easy to learn. Some of our favorites are Hisss, Slamwich and The Curse of the Ruby Rhino. They have numerous games that are easy enough for a three year old to play. And have been that are more challenging for older kids.

Gamewright Games: Hisss and Go Away Monster

Ages 3 and up

Gamewright Hisss Card Game, the Colorful Snake-Making Card Game

Hisss is my son Jakob's favorite game. Hisss is for 2 to 5 players. Hisss is a matching game in which you put the cards upside down like memory. Then each player takes a turn flipping over a card. Once you flip over a card you use the card to make a snake. The snake must have a head, a tail and at least one mid section. The snake pieces can only connect if they are the same color. If you flip over a card with a new color you must make a new snake. Once you put the last piece on a snake you keep all of the cards that made the snake. At the end the player with the most cards wins. Oh, and don't forget you must say hisss before picking up the snake or the other player can say Hisss and take the cards.

Go Away Monster

Go Away Monster For 2 to 4 players. Each player gets a playing board and they take turns taking furniture cards out of the bag to complete their room. They can work together or see who finishes first. If a player pulls out a monster card they must say "Go away monster" and then the next player goes.
