About this profound and beautiful quote: My research has shown that this quote was incorrectly attributed to Mahatma Gandhi. Although an incredible human being with many insightful quotes to his credit, this particular quote is not one of his. Rather, it belongs to a past century French philosopher named Etienne de Grellet du Mabillier, a French nobleman. Etienne came to the United States in 1795 where his name was anglicized to Stephen Grellet.
