About Gandree (aka Glenna Andree)

After 2 years on Squidoo, it's time to share a little about Gandree. I have learned so much since my first lens but the best thing has been that there are a lot of really nice people who are willing to help if you will just ask. That is the strength of Squidoo. If you are new and are trying to figure things out, you are welcome to contact me. I love this place. :0)

Yup, That's Me

Probably about 1 year old.

I was born Glenna Lucy Elizabeth Nelson in upstate New York. Being number 4 out of 6 children, there was always someone around to play with. We lived on the outskirts of town so I rode a bus to school but we also got to do things like fish, iceskate, swim and ride bikes. At that time, it was safe to let your kids roam the neighborhood and we enjoyed our freedom.

I don't remember doing much that was spectacular in school. Too shy to be noticed, I was that kid who never made waves but didn't shine either. My sister, Cheryl, was 6 years older than I and John and Phil were between us. When she went off to college, my Mom had gone to work and I was responsible for watching over the house, cooking dinner and keeping track of my youngest brother. That may seem a lot to some people but looking back, I realize that I developed a lot of my skills during that time. It's one of the benefits of growing up in a large family. When everyone has to pitch in, you learn skills that you might not otherwise have developed.

Let's Take A Big Step Forward

Just the Highlites Mam...

I graduated from Horseheads Sr. High School and SUNY College at Fredonia (B.S. in Business Administration), met and married my husband, Paul and after 3 years, moved to Florida. Whew - quite a mouthful! In Florida, Paul and I had a couple of wonderful children (who are now grown with kids of their own) and owned and operated Andre's Foliage Farm (plant nursery) for almost 20 years. During that time we had various animals from the usual cats n dogs to goats and even some horses and 1 brahma cow. We raised and showed rottweilers, weimaraners, and great danes (AKC) with a few cocker spaniels thrown in for good measure. One could say we lived a very busy life in the Florida countryside.

We now live in a small city near Orlando and have no pets - That's change for you! :0)

Morning At Last

My first blog - a gift from my sister

OK, Time for Current History

January 2008 found me writing two short books, Morning At Last! and The Exodus Chronicles. (Available online in my Lulu Storefront.) As a result, my sister gave me a blog which she said would help me to promote the books. At the time, I didn't know anything about promoting a blog or even if I had anything to say in it. That led me to Squidoo, Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed, Hubpages, the 30 Day Challenge, Tagfoot, Zimbio, etc and an ever unfolding path to new friends and experiences. WOW!

I had no idea what was going to unfold this past year and I can't wait to see what the next turn of the calendar will bring.

And My Blog List Started Growing

I'm still learning to juggle them :0)

Cheap Living Today
An ongoing discussion about living well in lean times.
Cool Christian Posters
I haven't yet figured out how to represent some of the artists I want to put here so it is a work in process.
EZ Christian Posters
Poster sites have a lot of redundant products. I am trying to sift that a little and make it easier to find what you are looking for.
Gandree Consolidated
My newest site will be home for my online ventures. Kind of like the body of the squid, the arms will radiate out from there :0)
Morning At Last!
This is the blog that started it all for me. It has become the spiritual counterpart to my Cheap Living Today blog.
Outdoor Garden Statues
I love garden statues so I created a place where they can shine.
Israelology Info
This is actually my husband's blog but he died October 15, 2009 so I am maintaining it for him.
Netmender
Not a blog, this is our original website and predates all the rest of them. We sell magnetic jewelry from this site and have a lot of information about it. It is well worth a visit.

Along the Way

I opened a card store in Second Life

I have never been much of an online role player but someone told me about Second Life and I ventured in to see what it was all about. Once I learned my way around and met a few people, I ended up creating virtual greeting cards and selling them in my card store called Sweet Charity Designs. Doing so showed me that I could make a place for myself in an online community and gave me the confidence to do what I have done since then. In the process, I came to realize that if I was going to put that much effort into creating a business, I wanted it to be in the real world. I've taken steps toward accomplishing that dream and Squidoo is part of it.

Leave some fingerprints so I know you were here
