Ganesh/Ganesha - "Lord of Fortune"

Ganesh or Ganesha, as his name is sometimes spelled, is a Hindu God. He is called; The Lord of Fortune. A lot of Hindu Gods have crossed over into the Buddhist religion. Ganesh is one of them. You can find his big elephant head/four arm likeness in most Buddhist temples. He is thought to be the son of Lord Shiva and the Goddess, Parvati. Ganesh represents perfect balance between; force and kindness, power and beauty, and truth and illusion. He is the first God to be prayed to when; starting a new business, new venture, starting school, and even starting a marriage. He is usually seen in the company of the Goddess of luck and prosperity, Lakshmi. This Ganesh statue I have found comes from a Buddhist temple in Lopburi Thailand. It has been chanted over and blessed by the monks there to help the owners with luck and prosperity. Visit my website to purchase this beautiful statue. www.jatukarm-ramathep-thailand.com

Wat Khao Lang

This is the temple where I find most of my blessed religous items.

Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill. -Buddha-
