Legislation in the U.K.
There is legislation in the U.K. that mandates that garage door openers be equipped with a quick-release mechanism on the trolley which would allow the garage door to be disengaged from the garage door opener in cases of entrapment. The quick release handle should be installed not exceeding six feet from the ground. Companies that manufacture garage door openers are also mandated to equip their devices with features that would allow the door to go on a reverse whenever it hits a solid object.

- You'd better ask some professional person to install the Stanley garage door opener for you, that because the installing work is very complex and dangerous, you may get hurt if you are not clear about the principle and structure of the opener.

- I work with a lot of garage doors and companies. As often as people seem to overlook these large moving items, when you make the effort to pick out the best matching door to your property, you can tell the difference. Fact for most households: Curb Appeal will improve with (a fitting) new door and proper garage door installation.

- Most of the garages I observe around here when their doors are open are filled with everything but cars. portable air compressors, tools, stuff to use later, etc. So creating an attractive garage door can add some class to the neighberhood.
