Great idea! I'm always losing track of what I planted where! This way I can look back to see how I cared for a plant/tree/flower in previous years and what worked and what didn't!

When we moved into a house with a garden, the first garden I'd ever had of my own, I started a garden journal and found it useful and interesting to read. Since then, I always advise new gardeners to keep one. It's so easy to forget things you did that worked and those that didn't.

Great lens! I'm not good at writing journals but I do like to do a casual journal through photo a day. My 2010 photo a day has been useful for reference this year.

I'd never thought about keeping a garden journal, but for the reasons you've given, it's a very good idea to do so.

my garden journal is by way of my lens Our Garden 2010
It's going to be interesting for me as I keep up with what it's costing us and then what the harvest is worth too.

Ouch! I was in the garden early in the morning to check and see what the storm did destroy, lol. And was wondering what would be some of the plants I saw... and also where are the lavender plants!!! I only recognized the grape vine and the strawberry plants! So, a garden journal would be definitely a great buy!
