Understanding the basics

Soil "ingredients"

Do you know what is in your soil?

Soil is made up of nutrients (elements such as nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus), organic matter, and minerals. All of these parts make up the whole of your plants' growing environment. It is important to have a basic understanding of soil dynamics in order to grow your best crops and flowers. Sure, you can apply Miracle Gro every week as they suggest. However, having your soil tested and knowing what it needs is much more healthier for your garden. It saves you money too!

Below I will detail the parts of soil for your information. Keep checking back if you don't see the topic you are interested in.
