Making the yard look gorgeous...

Flowers are a gorgeous part of any garden, but sometimes you want something that will make your garden stand out even more. That's where all the bits and pieces come into play. I have chosen what has caught my eye this year.

You see...

... it really doesn't cost a lot of money to make your yard inviting. Chances are very good that all of us probably have bits and pieces lying around that when put together, suddenly offer something most charming!

Decorating Your Railing

I have seen this done at Christmas time, but there's no reason why you can't do it all year round. The yard looks so bare when the holiday decorations are put away, but now that there are solar lights on the market, suddenly we can have a gorgeous yard all summer long. And it's easy on the budget as well.

Your Own Neighborhood

Do you get all of your ideas out of a magazine? While that is all well and good, sometimes just taking a walk around your neighborhood will give you some ideas of what will work and what won't. It's free and you are getting a bit of exercise at the same time. Can't beat that. I don't think that you burn many calories, thumbing through a magazine.

But I could be wrong ;)

About Bee Balm

They are definitely good at attracting bees, but they look just like giant spiders to me! First spotted them in my Mom's garden!

Using Christmas Lights Now

Now is the time to get out those Christmas lights and use them all summer long. No, you aren't going to be wrapping a tree with them... although you could now that I think about it, but for this project, you are going to wrap them around the slats of your overhead trellis and you can enjoy the lights as you sip wine in the evening.

And did you know that there are now solar powered lights on the market... even better!
