- nice lens, though it looks like you could break it out into several, like one about the plants, one about the bench, one about the humming birds, ect. I'm in the desert foothills of AZ. Have to cover all summer seedlings to keep the quail from eating them before the monsoon rain starts the native stuff for them.

- This website is wonderful. Thank you for providing all the information. I really wish I could ask you questions about some of the wild things taking root in my backyard. Being uninformed makes it difficult to describe some of the plants that grow naturally here. I would appreciate a pointer if you know a source of information online with pictures of what some of these friendly plants look like when they are sprouting. We dug a pool and spread that soil over our back yard, and I can't believe how the variety of what some would call weeds has changed. We have something that looks like a mossy ground cover that grows purple flowers that I have considered utilizing and something that looks like purple iceplant that easily took root wherever I buried it. I hope it comes back next year, but it's a little scary not knowing what the end result may be. If you have any information please share. My e-mail is jpipkin@pipkindental.com
Bunches of thanks

- You have created a wonderful oasis. I can see from one of the photos there's not much green beyond your garden. No wonder you have all those bunnies. Stinky must be an indoor kitty with all the wildlife you're attracting. You really should make a lens on Western hummingbirds and feature some more of your fabulous photos. You're extremely talented. Great lens!

- Howdy,
I think you should add, to your 10 facts about hummingbirds, that hummingbirds are the worlds fastest birds, in level flight. All other birds with higher speed numbers, refer to speed in a dive.

- 5 stars for building a super informative site.
I got some ideas from the slabstones for bench which I had never thought of.
I do have a huge rose garder in front with a water fountain where many birds come to shower.
I hope you feed wildbirds in your beautiful Northern Nevada garden.
Best wishes to you.Karen
