Who is Garethjax

Hello, i'm Gareth from italy, born in 1971 and i'd like to see the world. There are so many beautiful places and lifestyle that i would like to see!

From Seattle to San Diego 

 The Flickr slideshow in the bottom of the page is showing some of the amazing pictures that i've shot during my last vacation during summer 2007. Me and some friend rented a car in Seattle and drove through the west coast till San Diego. Well...we went at the mexican border because there was no more places available to sleep during the last days in San Diego!

Life is...

A span of time between 2 voyages. I'm a freelancer working for a web agency, programming php and doing google adwords campaigns for dull customers. Sometimes i feel i should switch to a more secure stream of income, but i feel that i would be chained to the work that way.
And i'm single, so i don't have a family or partner to feed (fortunately my parents are quite ok) and i can think only about myself.

Not your average geek 

I live in a rented apartment with 3 friends (yep, sometimes we feel like we were in the "FRIENDS" sitcom) and i use an Apple Macbook Pro as main computing platform.

I don't own a car anymore: i use public transportations.

I don't like soccer or sports in general: i have a knack for Volleyball and Curling.

I own a 33% of a Sony Playstation 2.

But i'm also an over the edge Geek.

I'm a proud and happy owner of a nokia cellphone n80, which i use to browse the net over wifi networks. I've used it to send photos in realtime during the vacation.

I criticize hackers as seen by Hollywood. 

I read mangas (japanese comics) online almost daily.

I have a facebook account, 2 fake myspace accounts, 5 gmails (and growing), of course a squidoo account, msn account, icq account (created before 2000), aim account, gtalk, twitter,  bzzrs, linkedin, flickr, yahoo and of course i have my own blog.

The Digital Paladin 

I was awarded this title, because i usually help a lot of friends in trouble about computer and internet. Of course my specialty is "damsel in distress", because i'm a gentleman, but i've never turned down any requests from my near and remote friends.

The Future dream 

I hope one day to have a nice amount of money that allow me to travel around the world, see many place, took a lot of photos and finally show them to the world. This planet is full of awesome places and i think that with a better understanding we should be able to protect it from our ourselves.
