Find A Gargoyle Statue - for your home or garden

Ranked #3,564 in Home & Garden, #42,843 overall

Chase Away those Evil Spirits With A Gargoyle Statue!

If you'd like to add a gargoyle statue to your home or garden they can certainly add an interesting gothic look. Indeed, once you start, you might find collecting gargoyles can be quite addictive.

At one time gargoyles were often regarded with mystery and superstition but today most people use them purely for decorative purposes. You'll find them both inside and outside the home. They can certainly add an air of mystique and are a great talking point.

Since I've always been a fan of medieval things, I guess it's no surprise that I like gargoyle statues. I've selected just a few of the ones I like, to share with you. Give them as gifts or collect them yourself to add an unusual accent to your home.

Myth has it that gargoyles come to life at night and roam or fly around keeping guard over the village or town. They return to their statue form before sunrise.

Scary or not, gargoyles are as beautiful objects of art as any other. It must be a great feeling to have a collection of such objects. A lens with a difference.

I find gargoyles appealing to and am not sure why. They certainly have been important in history in that they are so prominent on many historic buildings.

Having worked in the undertaking industry as a hearse driver for more than five years I got to see some amazing figures and figureheads on some of the churches I visited, Gargoyles are more prominent than most of us realise, it is just a question of looking up at the eaves as we pass churches and similar buildings. Another favorite are skeleton heads and figures, these are also meant to ward off evil and can even be seen on some headstones in cemetaries... Really enjoyed the lens as it sort of compliments a lens of my own called "Armor Rings." Would not hesitate in buying another Gargoyle.
    Warm Regards,
    Clive

I love gargoyle statues too! I guess I really started paying attention to them when my son was little and he liked them so much.

I think they are cool if they are not too scary. Some are scarier than others.
