Garmin Nuvi 1350 is Great GPS

Garmin Nuvi 1350 GPS to replace an old TomTom. I like its portability. My navigation experience has been spoiled by the wife's Infiniti car system, so I was curious as to how good this could be for the price. The Garmin Nuvi 1350 was bought to use in several other vehicles. I was very suprised by how well it worked. It grabs the satellites and sets up routes quickly. It is very accurate. The lane information is helpful for upcoming turns. This model doesn't have the traffic input, but as I don't live in a major city that function is useless to me anyway. The display is clear and easy to read. All in all I am quite happy with this model. A word of caution regarding operation. When intially setting up this device, FIRST install the software in your computer and follow instructions to connect your Garmin. Three things will then properly happen. Your Garmin will be registered, properly activated, and it will be loaded with the very latest maps. Trying to take it out of the box and operate it will cause many of the problems I have heard people discuss. I highly recommend the friction mount. It stays on the dash nicely and allows you to postion the Garmin closer to you.

Love the Nuvi 1350, nice big display and very easy to use and understand. It is definitely a big improvement from Nuvi 350. More features, easier to find places and event shows your speed in red if you are speeding.

I have owned varies Garmin GPS systems in the past. I like the new things they have added to make the unit easier to use and the way things are shown on the screen. I like the way it shows my speed and the fact that it shows the speed limit right next to that. The way it tells which lane to be in is a great addition. No longer have to watch the signs to be sure Im in the right lane to make my next exit. Bought from Amazon at a really great price makes it even better. Had a problem with the touch screen on the first one I received but as usual, Amazon sent me a replacement with all of the paperwork to return no charge. Second one works great.

Garmin 1350 unit is very good.Easy to read in bright sunlite and has a lot of good features.The onlt promlem we've had with it is one time on a road trip through Texas it locked up on us and quit working. The screen was on but frozen-wouldn't do anything. We couldn't turn it off or get it to anything.After a couple of hours it started working and has workek ever since.
