Gary Craig is well-known as the Founder of EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques

Gary Craig developed this tapping technique which is an emotional, needle free version of acupuncture that is based on new discoveries regarding the connection between your body's subtle energies, your emotions, and your health. EFT has been reported successful in thousands of cases covering a huge range of emotional, health and performance issues. It often works where nothing else will.

About Gary Craig: In his own words from Emofree.com:
I am the founder of EFT and your host at EmoFree.com. Please know that I am neither a psychologist nor a licensed therapist. Rather, I am a Stanford engineering graduate and an ordained minister and, although we don't pound the table for God here, I do come at this procedure from a decidedly spiritual perspective.

My ordained ministry is with the Universal Church of God in Southern California which is non-denominational and embraces all religions. I am an avid student of A Course In Miracles but at no time is any EFT'er asked to follow any specific spiritual teaching.

Other details: I was born April 13, 1940 and have been intensely interested in personal improvement via psychology since my age 13. That was when I recognized that the quality of my thoughts was mirrored in the quality of my life. Since then I have been self taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in my opinion, produced results. EFT is my latest finding, the core of which I learned from Dr. Roger Callahan. I also have high regard for Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in which I am a Certified Master Practitioner.

Hugs & Blessings, Gary

Gary Craig Explains How EFT Works

Excerpt taken from EmoFree.com

I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results {of EFT}. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.

We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that "the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.

The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods. Even a cursory review of the case histories on this web site will reveal that.

Further, EFT often provides relief for a very wide range of physical symptoms. This, too, is abundantly clear in our case histories, which provide unmistakable evidence of the link between our physical ailments and our emotional issues.

EFT is a Doorway to the new Healing High-Rise. It is where a growing number of newcomers to this exciting field get their start. We now have thousands of practitioners using EFT throughout the world.

Compared to other techniques, EFT is usually quite gentle and substantial relief is often achieved with little or no pain. This is not true for everyone, however. Some people's issue are so intense that the mere mention of them causes emotional or physical pain. Although truly serious instances of this (sometimes called abreactions) is most likely to occur in seriously emotionally damaged people (best estimate is less than 1% of the population), newcomers to EFT are advised to exercise common sense in this regard and not go where they aren't qualified.

EFT is easily learned by professionals and laypersons alike. Thorough and detailed training is given through our video products. These contain not only the EFT procedures but also actual sessions with clients. You are shown in great detail how the procedures are delivered to most people as well as the "art of delivery" for more difficult cases. Full details regarding these modestly priced video sets can be found in the video products section of Gary's site.

To augment your learning, there is a Tutorial on his web site that contains several articles designed to refine your understanding of EFT and its many uses. There is also a whole section on Frequently Asked Questions.

There are also live workshops given by EFT practitioners. You can find a list of them on the live workshops section of his web site. Please know that some workshop presenters teach a blending of EFT with other procedures. Others vary in the degree of detail they teach. Thus you may wish to call the presenters before signing up.

Gary Craig at a Glance from Wikipedia

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a form of alternative psychotherapy. It is based on the theory that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in the body's energy system and that tapping on acupuncture points while focusing on a specific traumatic memory balances the system, thereby neutralizing the negative emotion. There are five studies which appear to show positive outcomes from use of the techniques, but another study has suggested that it is indistinguishable from the placebo effect. Critics have described the theory behind EFT as pseudoscientific and have suggested that any ut...

Nice lens. Gary is one of the most giving people I have ever met. In fact, EFT might still be an expensive secret if Gary hadn't fought a law suit to free it up.
