6 Broken Bones Introduced me to Cheap Gas RC Cars

My introduction to the exhilerating hobby of racing gas RC car had an interesting beginning to it. As many parents of boys may have experienced or be experiencing now, boys can at times be pretty active and "accident prone" but it was through this recklessness that gave me the time to go out and buy cheap gas powered rc cars to kill time.

Needless to say after having broken various bones riding ATVs, motorcycles and even a horse, my parents were desperate to find activities that would keep their four boys from killing themselves before adulthood.

That is where my introduction to RC cars began. It started out small, with a electric RC car. To be more specific is was a cherry red buggy variety. When I got that RC car, I was beside myself with excitement!! This thing was over a foot long, by far the biggest remote control car I'd ever played with.

Electric RC Cars are Battery Drains

Dead BatteryMy enthusiasm was soon replaced by impatience and frustration. Being an electric RC car, the battery needed to be charged( and this took forever). Once it was charged I was only able to run it for less than an hour. Still not sure to this day whether it was a defective battery or not, but there was another problem...

Remember how I mentioned earlier that I'd broken a few bones? Well, needless to say, I was not very gentle with the RC car, jumping it off dirt mounds that I made to do some off-roading. The encasement that held the battery broke pretty soon, making the beautiful red RC car look like moving roll of duct tape.

It was obvious I needed something a little more capable of handling rough handling and frequent use. And that is when I found the gas RC car at the Hobby Shop.

Electric RC Cars VS Gas RC Cars

The gas radio control cars are intended for the experienced racers while the electric powered RC cars are intended for the newbs and the unskilled racers. This is down to the way in which they are made. The gas RC vehicles are far more difficult when you match them to the electrical powered ones. A new racer wants something that's straightforward to race and this is what they are going to get form the electrical powered RC autos. The experienced racers will need some challenge in handling a not so straightforward RC automobile and this is what they are going to get from the gas powered RC autos.

Gas radio control vehicles are intended for those racers that value speed more than the thrill of just racing. Those racers who need to compete even with chums or people who get their excitement from the rate of a RC vehicle will go for the gas powered RC automobiles. This is thanks to the fact that they've got more speed when they're compared against the electrical powered ones.

The electrical powered RC vehicles have a fair speed and they're only raced by the racers who get all worked up by just racing and not by the velocity of the RC auto.

Gas RC Cars are Cool

Why I think the gas powered rc cars are better than electric

The gas RC cars were (and still are) in my opinion the more superior of the RC cars. They have much more power and speed than their electric counterparts. Typically a gas powered RC car is going to be larger than an electric RC model.

Primarily, it is the fact that once you've used up the gas in your RC cars, you can easily refill it and be back on the race track or off-roading.

Another benefit of the gas RC cars is that most are air cooled so you minimize the risk of overheating your RC cars engine.

Finally, the fact that you can do so much customization to your gas RC cars that it soon becomes an extension of your own personality..Granted a speed demon version of your personality!!

An RC car gives you the opportunity to forget about all the troubles you've got going on and enjoy your time smelling the burning gas exhaust! Your Saturdays and Sundays will have much more meaning when you can take your kids out to race the gas RC cars that you've been tinkering on for the last couple of weeks. Besides who doesn't like the sound of operating a nitro-powered RC car?!!

Type of RC Car Usage - Urban or Terrain

RC autos are either made for driving on pavement or driving off-road on hills, mud, grass fields or snow.
An amateur should think about what kind of landscape they'll be driving their vehicle in before proceeding to make the investment. Off road tires won't hold up as well on pavement as on road tires. On road models are lower to the ground and won't go over stumbling blocks like hills, mud or grass. Once an amateur knows where they're going to be running the RC automobile and has picked a body style, it is time to begin to plan for the future. With no regard for the final goal, it is frequently better to begin with basic models, progressing as your understanding and methodology increases. Nevertheless there are still 2 ways to go. One is to get a vehicle already built and prepared to run.

This is best if all someone has an interest in is driving the automobile. If a hobby fan has an interest in customising or seriously racing a vehicle, then a built-it-yourself starter kit is a wiser choice. Building one's own vehicle is an education in itself and makes it much simpler to know how to customise and improve it later on.

It sounds like your introduction to RC cars was a bit like my similarly painful introduction to RC helis. I found them when I needed something to keep me sane after breaking a thigh bone. Now I am totally hooked - that is on RC helis, not breaking bones!!! Read more on my RC heli adventures at http://www.rchelicopterworld.blogspot.com and http://www.rchelisandcars.com

True gas powered cars run on a mixture of gasoline and oil, although you can also purchase nitro fuel cars, which are like a hybrid between gas powered cars and electric cars. Good job guys.

Either size comes in two categories: on-road, designed for paved areas, and off-road, designed for any other terrain you can think of.

For one, there are no expensive batteries you have to purchase or recharge; all you have to do is pour in the fuel and watch them go. Cool lens.
