Gateway Marine Families
We are a local, live and in person support group for Marine Families in the St Louis MO area. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at Snibo's Bar and Grill in St Peters. We support each other and our Marines. We also support our local Marine Recruiters and their efforts. We are involved in the community to show support for our troops.
On July, 17, 18 and 19 we are attending Woodson Terrace Days to promote Marine Parents, Inc Operation Pal. We will be encouraging the general public to sign cards and letters for our wounded warriors. We want to encourage these warriors to get well and let them know that they are not fogotten.
On October 10, we are holding a Trivia Night fundraiser to raise funds for the Gateway Marine Families operating fund and to enable us to make a large donation to Marine Parents Care Package Project to help defray the cost of postage.
Please contact Monica at GatewayMarineFamilies@Gmail.com for more information or to join our group.

The beginnings of a local support group
If you have a Marine in your family, you belong in ours!
It ain't easy being the parent of a United States Marine. We go through life with the mottos of Semper Gumby (always flexible) and no news is good news. It gets really old hearing these things go through your head over and over but they are so true so we have to embrace that.
At any given time, the USMC could tell your Marine something life changing and then the next day change that! It's the nature of the military. We are here to provide support for our Marines. And when I say "our Marines", I mean Marines everywhere! It matters not if you know them personally, every single Marine is a member of our family and we will do whatever we can to help.
Our little local support group was born out of a Marine Recruiter's request to have just such a group for his poolies' families. He knew that when he enlisted that his parents did not have any kind of support and had a lot of questions and that it would have made his transition into Marine life easier if they had. So he set out to find someone to help him get that started for his poolies. He found me and he hooked me up with several parents and that was our humble beginnings.
We are a small but mighty group and we truly want to make a difference in this world for our Marines. We are so proud of our Marines and we want to share that message with the world!
