IT'S OUR WORLD TOO!

Many criticize the changing family structure in today's society and condemn those families who do not play by their "one mom married to one dad" rules.  I have created this lens to lend support to all families - especially those who find themselves playing by a new set of rules...

All children deserve to live in a loving environment regardless of their parents' race, creed, color, religion, ethnicity, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity.

This lens will offer support, tips, information and a listening ear for alternative families.  I cannot and will not offer legal advice, but I will be sharing my family's story here.

If you have any stories you feel would be of importance to our community, please share them.  Let's work together to create equal rights, freedoms and treatment for all families.  It's our world too

My reason for living (and loving)...

I am a lesbian mother of one 3-year-old son (pictured) with a baby girl on the way this summer.

My partner and I have been in a loving, committed relationship for nearly 9 years and I believe we are raising a truly incredible family!

My son (pictured) is kind, loving, compassionate, funny, forgiving, polite, smart and full of life.

He is my reason for living (and loving) and I challenge anyone who says alternative families cannot be tremendous families.
