Obama Won't Fool Us Again
Many Americans fooled themselves into believing that Barack Obama's embrace of anti-gay bigots during the 2008 election was just a ploy, a tactic in order to get himself elected. Now that Obama is President, we're seeing him engaged in the very same politics of targeting gays as a convenient scapegoat. Obama has broken his promise to end Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and is opposing efforts to overturn the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered Americans and their heterosexual allies won't fall for Barack Obama's cynical politics of triangulation through discrimination again. If Obama won't support equality, then we won't support him in 2012.
