Ranked #26,277 in Entertainment, #322,511 overall | Donates to Humane Society of the United States

Bonanza is the best alternative to eBay we've seen...and we've seen a lot of them.

What makes Bonanza different? So many things. For Sellers, the ease of listing and the top notch support from Bill and Mark, (The Bonanza Boyz), low low fees, and the warm and friendly community of buyers and sellers always ready to lend a hand.

For Buyers, it's just plain fun! The Bonanza front page is a great portal to the site; an always changing montage of what's for sale. With the Bonanza motto, "Find everything but the ordinary.", you are sure to find the perfect item or gift!

Irish Blues Legend!

Rory Gallagher, 2nd March, 1948- died 14th June, 1995

Rory is one of the most under-rated guitarists of all time. In 1972 he beat out Eric Clapton to be Melody Maker's Top Musician of the Year; the man was an amazing blues-rock guitarist. If you love rockin' blues, be sure to give Mr. Rory Gallagher a listen. Start with "Taste".

Who are The mOOndogs?

Our names are Tommy aka mOOndog aka mOOn, and I am Andra, aka Andi aka mrsmoondog aka AJ. Tommy was born and raised in Kosciusko County in North Central Indiana, a gorgeous area with lakes everywhere you look. Me, I was raised in Central Illinois with the Illinois River as a backyard.

Lake Trash married River Rat in 1996 and the couple collectively known as "T&A" came into being.

mOOn started playing drums at a very young age and was told by his first drum teacher that he had nothing to teach the young prodigy after just 3 lessons at the age of 12. His playing the drums was inspired by the music of the era, The Wondrous, Tumultuous, Mystical 1960's. His deep love and in depth knowledge of the musicians of the 60's and 70's is grounded in those years when he first began banging on his drums.

In the 80's after a few years on tour with his hot Southern Rock band, The Dave Chastain Band, the bottom quite suddenly dropped out of the Southern Rock scene and the band members were forced to 'get real jobs'. mOOn had a friend in the graphic design business who put him to work and started him on a graphics arts career that has evolved over the last 20+ years into his own business, Graphics by mOOndog. Being his own boss has enabled him to combine his knowledge of the music of the 60's & 70's and his graphic design skills and create the cool t-shirt designs we now sell. And yes, he still plays his drums.

As for me, I'm a potter. (Kiln-less at the moment, but I hope to have that rectified soon. I have a kiln, I just don't have anywhere to plug it in.) Being a River Rat, I always liked mud. lol When illness forced me to abandon my career as a mechanical designer in 1986, I flailed around for awhile while learning to live with my illness and all the changes it made in my life, then finally ended up in a pottery class at the local community college in 1990. It felt like coming home...

After mOOn and I were married, I used to love to watch him work his magic on his computer creating graphics. I soon started bugging him to teach me how to use the graphics programs, and 11 years later, here we are both creating the t-shirt designs you see in our Bonanzle booth. We hope you like them.

So which is it?

Bonanzle Voted Best eBay Alternative (again)
In what SmallBusinessComputing called "a runaway," Bonanzle was named the "Best eBay Alternative" of 2008. Now let's just hope that they don't get wind of the fact that Bonanzle didn't even exist for more than half of 2008..!

Big thanks to everyone that voted and told their friends to do the same. Beating out esteemed sites like Wigix, eCrater and even Etsy is a tremendous honor that ought to put Bonanzle on the radar of more buyers.

Bonanzle Hits 1m Items (repeatedly)
Well, folks, here we are. I still remember rooting around my tiny condo for electronics I didn't need, so I could post them to billabooth and inch Bonanzle's listing count closer to 1,000 items. I also distinctly remember the day, shortly after Mark came onboard, when he somehow convinced Mooniebrn to post her 1,000 stamps to the site, more than doubling our overall item count to 2,000 items. Thanks, Moonie!

But that isn't some long ago story of years past. That was half a year ago. From such modest beginnings, our sellers have done an [insert your incredulous adjective here] job of getting the word out about Bonanzle to their fellow sellers. In January, we've averaged anywhere from 10k-30k new items created per day, even with a strict duplicate item filter that can cut down a seller's inventory significantly when imported from other places.

Now, if everyone would make sure their items are on Google Base, then we'd reeeeally be cookin! :)

A simple Squidoo "how to" list

A few little things to help your lens and your friend's lenses.

To rate a lens, look at the row of stars at the top left of the page. The stars on the right side are where you click to rate your friend's lenses; simply click the star that represents your rating of 1 thru 5. (1 being left and 5 being right.)

To roll a friend's lens, look on the right side menu under "Bookmark and Share" and click "Lensroll" behind the smiley face. If you have more than one lens, on the next page you choose which of your lenses you want the lensroll added to, then click continue and you've now added a link to your friend's lens on your lens.

This is also the same area where you can link your lens to your Twitter, Facebook, etc. Simply click which you'd like to link your lens to, and follow the instructions on the following pages.

To favorite a lens, simply click "Favorite it" underneath the Favorite list, which just happens to be under the "Bookmark and Share" list.

These thing help you in getting your lens moving on up in the lens ratings.
Have fun Squidoo-ing!
