God's hand extended to the orphans of Uganda.

GCCI is a group of more than 30 people who joined together in 2005 in hopes of making life better for a group of Orphans in Masaka, Uganda. On December 15th, 2005 this group incorporated and has been approved as a federal non-profit corporation.

All of the officers and board members are unpaid. Administrative supplies, time, and items needed to manage this endeavor are graciously donated by our board and other members.

This is truly a program designed to benefit the children in Uganda, as 100% of the funding and resources go directly to the children.

GCCI is actively seeking donations and sponsors to make our vision a reality for the orphans and the people of Masaka, Uganda. Please contact us to see how you might be able to join us in this journey.

You can also help by joining the MyPowerMall team which donates a percentage of proceeds to this wonderful organization.

What's Happening with GCCI

Through a large financial donation...

Through a large financial donation, GCCI was able to acquire 60 acres in Masaka, Uganda on which 6 homes are currently being constructed (2008). These homes will house the 70 children that we have committed to caring for through the cooperation of Pastor Michael Muwonge, the director of Glory Ministries in Uganda.

In May 2006 we sent a team of 20 people (4 of whom serve on our board and all of whom have paid for 100% of their travel expenses) to our project in Masaka, Uganda. Upon arrival our team met and interacted with the 70

children and 7 house mothers providing encouragement and the gospel to those who gathered in their presence. In April 2006 GCCI filled a forty foot cargo container with beds, clothing, tools, shoes and other items. These items will be distributed to the orphans as the homes reach completions and the children prepare to move in. In May an animal program was initiate and animals for dairy, eggs, and meat where purchased and gifted to the orphans and their caregivers.

In May 2007 we sent a team of 3 people to out project in Masaka Uganda. Upon arrival our team was warmly greeted by the children and their caretakers. This team was so encouraged by the growth and development of the children in the past year. It was obvious that the food and school monies were directly benefit the children. The team was able to provide the opportunity for twenty of the children to travel to Kampala and record a CD of them singing while they were there. The trip was a awesome experience for both the American team members and their Uganda host. You can read more amount this trip in the newsletter download below.

In March 2008 two of our board members will travel to Uganda, spend two weeks making final preparations and then fly back with twenty GCCI Orphans and 4 Ugandan Caretakers for the first ever SIFA Africa Children Choir Tour (a ministry of GCCI) More about this tour can be found on the SIFA Africa website at SIFA Choir.

Glory Children's City International Vision

The goal of GCCI is...

The goal of GCCI is to be God's hand extended to the orphaned children of Uganda and other parts of the world.

Our driving purpose is to care for the whole child. With the love of Christ we shall meet physical, mental, and spiritual needs of the children by providing quality education, an environment sensitive to specific social-emotional needs, and by creating a community governed by biblical principles and values.

Our plan is not only to reach the children, but to also support and encourage the surrounding communities using the resources and gifts God has given us.

We shall reach these disadvantaged communities and empower them through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How You Can Help

As with any endeavor, everything takes...

As with any endeavor, everything takes money. There are always needs that go unmet as we are faced with prioritizing the order in which things need to be accomplished. We are so thankful to have our efforts matched by Glory Ministries in Uganda who also seeks funds and resources from their own people.

Our GCCI board of directors and other members spend countless hours each week seeking out resources that could somehow benefit our project.

We have been blessed by financial donations and in-kind donations that have actually been shipped to Uganda, and donations of items that we've been able to sell or raffle to raise funds. Rarely is there something that cannot be used.

If you would like more information on how to get involved with or contribute to one of the following projects or to find out about our ongoing expenses of feeding and caring for our children please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
