A bosu ball can be described as a ball that is cut into half. One side has its dome shape and the other side a platform. Fitness enthusiast has embraced the fact that bosu ball exercise is one great way to gear up their exercise routines. The bosu is so simple to use that even new comers can do a bosu ball exercise with ease. This fitness ball is actually developed to help its inventor recover from a back injury. However, the function of the bosu has evolved in such a way that even perfectly fit individual can take huge advantage of it.

There are a lot of exercise routines that you can do with your bosu fitness ball. For one, your regular leg exercises can be geared up through the bosu leg exercise. There are also a lot of core strengthening routines that you can do with this amazing fitness equipment. To help you understand how all of these are made possible, let me explain how the common exercise routines are done.

Leg Exercise. You need to stand on the dome of the bosu. Find your center and keep your balance. By maintaining this position you are already working out your glutes and thighs. Transfer your weight on one leg and move your free leg side ways. Complete the sixteen counts cycle and do the same procedure with the other leg.

Compressions. This bosu exercise routine is done by standing on the dome of the bosu. Maintain sufficient space between your feet just enough to help you keep your balance. Transfer your body weight from one foot to the other simultaneously (mimicking a walking motion). Make sure to keep your balance. This exercise is very ideal in working out your torsos. As you strive hard to maintain your balance, the muscles of your torso tighten, thus allowing you to work it out at the same time.

Push ups. Doing your push ups with a bosu is done by inverting the bosu in such a way that the platform faces the ceiling. Assume a push up position. Hold the sides of the platform and make sure that your chest is kept towards the center. As you get used to the routine, try to lower your body more to increase the difficulty of the routine

V- sit. V-sit is a good exercise to work your core muscles. It is done by sitting on the dome of the bosu. Push your hips towards the edge of the ball. Lift your legs and your torso to assume a v Position. Support your balance by placing your hands on your back near your buttocks.

The routines I have mentioned above are just some of the many bosu ball exercise routines that even a beginner can easily follow. If you want to experience how great working out with a bosu ball can be, don't waste your time and head on the nearest fitness center that utilizes a bosu balance fitness equipment.
