Locked and Loaded: A sequal worth waiting for
In Gears of War 2, the Locust have found a way to make giant emergence holes capable of sinking entire cities at once. Marcus Fenix and the rest of the COG Delta Squad are now drilling underground to "take the fight to the Locust." In a teaser of the first scenes of gameplay of Gears of War 2, COG soldiers engage in battle with a large army of Locust as they travel to drill into the underground region. Comic book writer Joshua Ortega says, "The stakes are raised. This is humanity's last stand. Everything is at risk. Nothing is safe."
Returning characters includes Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago and others from the first game, including Marcus and Dom's frequent companions, Augustus Cole and Damon Baird. (read more)

Bullets are flying everywhere, smoke grenades are detonating sending you flying on your ass, and rounds are lasting longer thanks to everyone keeping their heads down. You can say what you want about GOW2, but this is exactly the type of gameplay experience I am looking for. Damn the ending is friggin amazing... non stop heart pounding action.

Gears of War 2 - YE or NAY
Best action/shooter ever made, hands down. The last 3/4 of the game about made me poop myself it was so intense. I recommend everyone buy it (not cliffy b's attitude, but the game) and just enjoy a great game.

Gow2 has its strengths - the mechanics are polished, the coop is solid, and the game looks tight - but it wasn't much fun for me. R2 has its flaws - poor coop, short duration, and iffy AI but I had more fun playing it thanks to some creative level design, and a compelling story.

What do you want in Gears 3?
I think John Carmack is wondering how the hell he'll top this. There's no other action shooter that even comes close to the adrenaline factor. Period. Presumably there will be another Gears game, what do you want to see in it? I personally would like more of the enormous battles, but have them feel more authentic, with just as many COG as there are Locust. Also more Rift Worm that you can ride.

- hey guys first i love GoW2 i want to know if dizzy makes it like say he retreated while tai fought skorge or something and what happend while tai was captured maybe even put in another carmine ben said theres four but 2 died antho ey and ben maybe the next one should be named gordon please maybe bring in real guns like a thompson and call it somthin else and make it look diffrent and make it so where we can play as oter people in gears like we dont have to be marcus but have the same storyline as marcus had make it so where we know what happend to andam fenix anyway love gears of war from dizzy

- everyone heres an idiot! There is no host advantage in gears, you should move SLOWER! They shouldnt let u control the chainsaw because its slow enough as it is and thell have to lag the game down more. Tai killed himself because he believed his spirit left his body like what he said in the game, read gears of war wikipedia. We do need 2 know about dizzy yes and the locust are humans and theres a massive conspiracy ever since the pendulum wars because adam fenix knew about the locust way before e day. Im suggesting the locust were made by adam 2 try and create the perfect Cogs
