The first time I heard Rush had to be around 1980, when Moving Pictures came out. I had started playing bass about a year or two before, and Geddy Lee's playing on "YYZ" blew me away. Still does.
Since then, I've bought every single Rush album the day it came out, and all the ones before it. Hemispheres remains my favorite recording.
Someone told me Rush is music for music snobs. Funny, and probably true. To me, Geddy is one of the most important rock bassists ever.
