- I learned something more from your lens. I didn't know about the community trees at familysearch.org. Thanks for sharing what you know. Family history is one of the most important and interesting things in our lives.

- Nice lens. I can't believe I never saw the Google search for genealogy before, thanks! I use Ancestry and Family Tree Maker, but I hear Roots Magic is far superior. I have done some indexing for the Family Search Site too (its paying back to the genealogy community with my time).

- Very nice lens. May I correct you on the reference to Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The correct name is "The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" and their nickname is the Mormon's. Check out Mormon.org and LDS.org as well as the FamilySearch.org web sites. Keep up the great lenses.

- For all folks starting out on research of your family genealogy records you are on the best trip through history you can do. It is very rewarding. You will find many that are willing to share personal records and then you will come upon many closed doors of those who do not want to share for one reason or another. DO NOT give up. As you move along you will find another door that is open that reveals what is behind closed doors of information on your family tree. Never get discouraged and quit. Keep on because the open doors will eventually lead you back to the information that was not revealed by other sources. When you have compiled your documents, make them into a book and share with all you can. What you pass on will be more valuable and appreciated for many years after you and I have died. It is very important to follow every little lead and link you find even if it becomes a dead end. At least you have revealed to others where you have been. Start at home with your parent's and grand-parents and you will be surprised how much information you will find rather quickly. That is the first step on your journey through history of your genealogy research. It can be fun and discouraging at the same time but at least you are moving forward where others fail to take the time. Your reward is a lasting legacy to those who live on after you have died with information that could even save their life because of documented health issues of your ancestors. Look at this wonderful link as one of those doors that may or may not reveal reliable results on your research. At least take the time to try. This is a wonderful lens with free open doors that I highly recommend. What have you got to lose you may ask? Everything this site has to offer. Enjoy your research into your family genealogy.

- Very nice genealogy site and it free. I co-published my genealogy records and a book on my surname which took a good nine years of research, filming, interviews, photographing Bible Records and old Graveyards with all headstones. A great trip back through history. I published newsletters also and finally turned it over to other relatives where much is still available online (If you become a paid member) now. When I started my project everything was free to join in but those who had done research much like mine fell into the trap of making money off of historical information. That was never my intentions but as the internet has grown into a giant source of info much is not available unless you become a paid subscriber. That is sad for sure. I searched all of your database links with no results on my surname which I knew was the case but searched anyway. For those in Canada your site is a very worthwhile project and well worth anyone Native to Canada. Keep up the wonderful work on genealogy as it is the best source of historical records one can go back to. Job Well Done.
