One Great Family - Grow your family tree while you sleep!

Genealogy, once you get stuck, it's a real pain in the behind.

You've bought the expensive genealogy software. You've gotten a REALLY expensive subscription to Ancestry.com and all the other genealogy web sites. But short of hiring an expensive genealogy researcher to find just one or two ancestors, you're just stuck.

All that's going to change for you. There is a new genealogy site you need to know about. Donny Osmond, who is a member of the LDS church has been working his line for twenty years. Now, you know he has the financial resources to have it down for him, but just by submitting his gedcom to ONE GREAT FAMILY Donny was able to add THIRTY EIGHT generations to his line! You can read his testimonial on the home page.

The site works like this: every new member submits his/her gedcom, so there are hundreds of new family trees being added to their genealgoy database every day.

Their online software goes out and makes matches in other people's trees and adds them to your own tree. They use an algorithm that matches parents, children and siblings. You get to choose whether or not to accept the additional information.

If there are a couple matches for the same person, you can choose which one seems best to you. Then you can contact the tree owner for more information.

The genealogy program spiders are working 24/7 to find matches for you in new trees being submitted. Can you get any better than that? I added my huge gedcom (not the whole gedcom, just my direct ancestors) and immediately this one genealogy website added thousands of new individuals.

Forget that unreasonably expensive Ancestry.com membership. You have to do all the research yourself. Too much work and frustration.

Instead join One Great Family, at a very reasonable cost of about $15 a month and get it all done for you, and there is a ONE WEEK FREE TRIAL!

Every week you'll find new matches being added. The only work you'll need to do is to contact the other gedcom owners for more info and documentation. It may take a few hours to get a huge gedcom uploaded. Mine took all night! It's breathtakingly exciting.

Do take the time to watch all the available videos. If you don't, you'll get lost. Educate yourself on how the system works. Do that first, before you add anything. I've been researching my family tree with all the available software and databases for 48 years. Man, I wish this was available back then!

Find your ancestors today!

Hints - how to get started

With One Great Family

1. Before you add your gedcom, use the site videos and learning center to get a good understanding of how it all works.

2. I think if I were just starting I'd add about four or five generations, not the 99 generations my gedcom was set to. Adding this large a file took all night to upload. And the results were that I got thousands of new additions to my tree. Entries like from the times B.C. that had no credibility to me. Who am I going to contact to get documentation? Eric the Red? It was overwhelming, and I really am only interested in my genealogy back to, say, 1200 AD :)

3. I recommend growing your tree slowly. You can add generations as you go. Less confusing.

4. The genealogy browser can be confusing unless you study the learning materials provided. And it takes a while to get used to. Don't give up. This is truly a genealogical breakthrough!

A huge line of books has come out based upon all the info in Ancestry.com for your family name.

I was stunned to see a whole book of The McWhirter Name in History. Check to see if your family name is included.
