The Medifast Diet is a dieting system created and marketed by Medifast, Inc., based in Owings Mills, Maryland. The products sold as part of the diet are produced by Jason Pharmaceuticals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Medifast, Inc. It is one of a number of diet plans that requires customers to purchase food from the company that markets the product.

Genie Francis (born Eugenie Ann Francis on May 26, 1962 in Englewood, New Jersey, USA) is an actress best known for her portrayal of Laura Spencer on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital, a role she played from 1976 to 2002, and then again, briefly in 2006 and 2008.

Luke Spencer and Laura Webber Spencer are fictional characters and the signature supercouple from the American daytime drama General Hospital. Luke is portrayed by Anthony Geary, and Laura was portrayed by Genie Francis. Despite having been raped by a drunken Luke, Laura would later fall in love with him.
