About evolution, history, and mankind
Piers Anthony wrote the Geodyssey series of books concerning the evolution, history, and nature of mankind using research, speculation, and creative license which makes these books not only interesting and informative but also more captivating through his use of stories to illustrate key events (both probable and possible) in human development.
Part of the creative license he takes is to use the same cast of characters throughout the books. The characters are not real of course, but they could have been. It is clear that Piers Anthony researched extensively to write the Geodyssey series although he is clear that some of the stories are based more on his own conjectures than accepted anthropological facts.
I am interested by science, history, and anthropology and I found this series an interesting read.

What do you think?
Is this a great idea for a book series?

Yes, I learn better from stories

Yes

Sounds great, as long as it is based on reality
No, give me my science straight
Do you like your fiction and facts clearly separated?
I would like to know just how weird I am. I often enjoy a mixture of fact and fiction in my reading. I have always loved historical fiction and also like alternate history types of books and fantasy fiction. I'm not sure what category this series fits in but I found it interesting.
