- I started working in a deli for the first time and am trying to learn the various products. We have two liverwurst products and other than the color of the label, I don't really know the difference. One is Braunschweiger and the other is Schwei____ something. Price is the same. Can you enlighten me?

- Hi JollyvilleChick, Braunschweiger is smoked liverwurst but I would need to know the entire name of the second to help.

- The "ABSOLUTE BEST" Bratwurst can be purchased in HOF, Germany about 60 miles from Nuremberg. Look for the "Wurstlamo" and get yourself ein paar. Here in the states it's pretty hard to beat Bratwurst from the STIGLMEIER Sausage Co.

- Oh man that bratwurst looks good! I make homemade sausage and still looking for a great recipe.
I was stationed in Germany in the 70's and the brats from the street vendors were the best I ever had. One of these days I'll figure it out.

- You had to have been stationed in Hof or Nuremberg to get great Brats from the street venders

- Really delicious lens!
I grew up in Nuremberg - the "Capitol" of good "Bratwurst"
If you will go there - just make a break in "Bratwursthäusla" near the Sebaldus Church! Great!!!

- Having spent six years in Germany, I have tasted my share of wursts! My husband's uncle made his own liverwurst, which I loved. I also liked curry wursts--hot and spicy.
I had no idea cooked wurst usually contains egg yolks, though. Interesting.
This is probably the most wurst info I've ever read in one sitting. Thanks for a fabulous lens!

- The German saying "ist doch alles Wurst", meaning "it doesn't matter/who cares?", is definitely a paradox. Wurst matters. Sausage is "everything". To me. I love my weenie!
Welcome to Squidoo, RG! It is so great to have you with us. Your first lens is as tasty as can be and for that I bestow a hearty SquidAngel Blessing upon it. (With sweet Bavarian mustard, to boot.) More, please! :-)
