The Abs You Want
Just because you've always done something a certain way, doesn't mean it's the best way. Take eating for example. Most of us are used to three squares a day-it's the way our parents taught us and their parents before them. But three squares a day isn't all that conducive to reaching your ab goals.
Far better for you is to eat five to six small meals spread throughout the day. Why? Because otherwise, if you're only eating three meals a day, your metabolism acts like it's on a rollercoaster.
It goes up and down with peaks and valleys and you don't want that. You want your metabolism to stay steady and keep burning those calories. Metabolism is simply how fast (or for some of us) how slow your body burns the calories you consume.
Too much time in between meals makes your metabolism slow down, which in turn, makes it harder for you to not only lose weight and exercise, but leaves you feeling sluggish and low on energy. The reason diet - what and when you eat - is so important to getting sexy six pack is because you can't get the six pack abs with a layer of fat hiding them.

Six Pack Abs for Men
If you want that six pack abs look you see on the front cover of men's fitness magazines, you need a fitness and exercise plan geared to work hand in hand to reach that goal. If you're not overweight, but simply just not toned, your road to great abs won't be as hard, but you'll still put in plenty of sweat equity.Start with a no fail attitude and decide that quitting is not an option. You have to know what you want, realize what it'll take to get it and then set your determination firmly in place. A hit and miss approach to six pack abs won't work. You have to be consistent. How do take a journey of a hundred miles? One step at a time. But the key is you keep taking those steps.
Avoid the numerous fads and pills you see advertised that promise you quick and easy results but never deliver on that promise.
Drink plenty of water. Not only is it good for you, but it helps keep you feeling full so you won't feel hungry as often.
Don't overdo it. When many people start their six pack ab quest, they go from couch potato to speed walking two miles a day within forty eight hours. Needless to say, by the end of day two, almost every muscle in your body might hurt. Build your routine by slowly adding exercises to work those abs.
Don't get impatient if you don't see results as quickly as you think you should. Stay the course. Anything worth having - especially 6 pack abs that make women drool - is worth working for.

"After only three weeks of using this DVD I had results I could see and feel. I've tried other DVDs and contraptions that promise tighter abs in a record amount of time, but this is the first product that truly delivers!
I think what impresses me most and makes this DVD so easy to follow is it's simple, straightforward approach. Fitness expert Adam Ford leads you through the moves, which he thoroughly explains and you are able to take at your own pace. Because the DVD is so basic without annoying music or visual distractions it's easy to come back to again and again.
Surprisingly, a tighter, stronger midsection wasn't the only positive outcome of using this program. By strengthening my lower back and other core muscles my posture has improved dramatically.
I've recommended this DVD to several friends of different ages and all have had great results! I can't wait to try the other DVDs offered by Ridgeline Fitness. "

Six Pack Abs for Women
If you're a woman and you want 6 pack abs or that taut tummy, I've got some good news and bad news for you. A woman's body tends to hang on to fat around the midsection. But the good news is that doesn't mean you can't get the results you're looking for!You can get the six pack abs you're longing for, even if you're not a young twenty something any more by following a few tried and true fitness rules.
The first one is watch what you eat. No matter which way you slice it, diet and exercise go hand in hand. It won't do you any good to work out and then eat any old way you please. If you haven't achieved the goal of six pack abs, but you're working those muscles faithfully, the culprit could be your diet.
If you don't have the time to get to a gym faithfully, you can work on those abs at home with these exercise tips:
1.) Lie on your back on the floor-you might want to use a mat for comfort if you don't have carpeting-with your knees bent, put your hands above your ears and aim your elbows toward your knees in a crunch, tightening those ab muscles.
2.) You can also get into position like you're doing a pushup but instead, keep your forearms on the floor. Push up with your fanny while letting your ab muscles do the work of the lifting.
3.) Lie on your back again for this one. Without bending your knees, lift your legs just off the ground and then lower them, but don't rest them on the ground. Repeat these exercise tips and you'll see results.
Getting 6 pack abs is very doable with the right training and exercise routine!
