Bing now allows just about everything Google has for quite some time. IT now allows for:
- The ability to look up local information, such as restaurants, dog groomers, even the cheapest hotel listings.Although not firmly cemented yet, webmasters of local business websites will be able to drive a larger share of a smaller market to their website this way.
- Bing has an integrated shopping feature and "Bing Cash." Bing Cash works int he simple form of shopping deals to users who use Bing to search and buy products.
- Tired of typing "define: word" into Google? Simply ask Bing "What is a word?" and you'll promptly be given an answer. If you have a marketable brand, you can even garner some traffic from this approach.
- Bing provides a visual search. This is a visual approach to web searches that arranges results in a categorical manner. No longer do you have to weed through a list of results. You just choose a keyword, a category or whatever you're looking for and then you can find what you're looking for.
So How Do I Get my Websitet Indexed by bing?

Unlike Google, where my previous trick to get indexed by Google allowed you to clue n Google's spiders to index your site within a few minutes of completing it, Bing takes a long time to work.
How can you help with this? Because Bing is new, you need to make sure you have a wide variety of links back to your website in order for Bing's spiders to even have a chance of finding it. Bing's database does not have an extremely large database of cached websites due to starting from scratch.
However, there is one major trick that only a few people know about. Because Bing uses part of Yahoo's search engine to gather results, if you are ranked well in Yahoo, you may not have to get indexed by Bing because you may already be.
How can you help with this? Because Bing is new, you need to make sure you have a wide variety of links back to your website in order for Bing's spiders to even have a chance of finding it. Bing's database does not have an extremely large database of cached websites due to starting from scratch.

Go to Bing's search page and enter "site:mysite.com". That was hard, right? But that's all you have to do to see if your site is indexed by Bing.
However, if your site is not indexed by Bing, you can head over to Yahoo's site explorer. If it yields 0 results, then chances are that your website will not be indexed and you need to build some backlinks by at least social bookmarking it.
But in truth, that's all there is to getting indexed by Bing: building links to your website from even more popular websites.
