How to Get Indexed By Google

Before you can get your site indexed by Google, you need to know how a search engine, like Google, works. The fact is that if you've used Google before, you might already be wholly aware of how it works.

In order to get your site indexed, they must crawl your pages. When a Search Engine Spider crawls a web page, it's like a person recording what is important about your website. It records what is important, why it is important, and who it should tell your website about when they search for it. In other words, your keywords, the description of your website and your title.

This is a mirror to what you'd see if you searched for your website in google, provided it was indexed. It's simple, right?

The catch is that a spider can only find out about your website if another website links to it when the spider crawls it and that's what we're going to do, get the spider to crawl our page.

Remember how I said earlier that you just need a link from a website that is crawled often? Use a social bookmarking service and bookmark your website. That's it, that's all there is to it. You can have your site indexed within a few weeks just by doing this.

If you don't want to do that, then place a link to your website in your signature on a highly-crawled forum.

Failing that, find a guestbook to sign. All you need is a single link from any one website to get indexed by Google. You'll find that if you do the first two options I've presented, it will be much faster
