Get into Marketing and Improve Your Earning Potential
Have you ever noticed that the men and women who get into marketing get treated differently from the run-of-the-mill employees like you and I? Have you ever wondered why that is? What it boils down to, and what it has always been about is whether your efforts go above the line or below the line. If your efforts go into growing or protecting the numbers above the line (revenues), executives consider you an asset. If your efforts are focused on items below the line (everything BUT revenues), then I'm sorry to inform you that your bosses consider you a liability. I'm here to tell you that you need to get into marketing and start earning what you deserve.
No Reward for Superior Work Just Plain Gets Old!

I wanted something better in my life, I wanted to stop being the guy who was 'expendable'. I decided I needed to get into sales or get into marketing, because that's who gets all the rewards in life. I've long had a great deal of talent and the ability to get things done. What I didn't realize was that all the time and effort I've spent working as a software engineer lined my boss' pockets. No matter how great a product I produced, no matter how few errors I made, no matter how good my end product looked I was never going to see dollar one in appreciation or recognition from my boss. I needed to make a change. I needed to get into marketing or get into sales, but HOW???
I Want to Get on the Plus Dollar Side
...because sales is where the Winners are...
I'm sure you must be asking yourself the same question? How on earth can I become successful at marketing when all I've ever known or done is XXX? {insert your profession here - we're all in the same boat if you're reading this} Mercifully the internet levels the playing field for those willing to work at it and learn how to market products on the web. I found a great resource when I sought out how to get into sales or get into marketing when I stumbled across How to Become a Wealthy Affiliate. Best resource I ever found. Instead of spinning my wheels every day I instead have a daily/weekly/monthly action plan that helped me get into sales and get into marketing. Maybe it can work for you too.
