Most twitter users find people and follow them. You will get more followers if you follow many people. Remember to also contribute and not just follow, as people will start unfollowing you. Remember not to follow to many people at once as other might thing you are a scammer and will stop following you.

Unless you are a celebrity or famous on internet for whatever reason, you will have to work a bit to get more twitter followers.

Tip 1- Follow and you will be followed, but do it slowly. By smart and do not try to follow 500 a day. Do everything top keep your following /followers ratio near 1-1. Tip 6- Take part in a Twitter party. Make sure to participate in a Twitter meetup in your area. It is an excellent way to meet new people and get new followers.

Tip 7- Get listed in as many Twitter directories as possible and share your username in places such as social networks, forums and blogs.

Tip 8- Do not pretend to be someone else, be yourself. Speak openly, say what you think. A good opinions usually get retweeted which will show your profile to others. Personalize your profile, change colors and backgrounds, so it looks unique.

Tip 9- Be a regular twitter. Do not worry, you do not have to tweet all the time, but try to do it every day. It is important that you update your profile and tweet regularly, otherwise people will stop following you.

Tip 10- Get it all balanced. Remember to express your opinion on different topics, do not talk about yourself and your products all the time as it will get people tired of you. If you do not want to get your followers tired of you limit the messages about yourself to just 1 or 2 a day, and in the other messages post things that provide value and are interesting to them.
